Dyslexia is a learning difficulty that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling. Characteristic features of dyslexia are difficulties in phonological awareness, verbal memory and verbal processing speed.

About me

I have over 25 years teaching experience in both special and mainstream schools. I love getting to know individual children and building a relationship with them in order to help them reach their full potential. I currently work as a specialist teacher and assessor with children with specific learning difficulties. My lessons include a range of structured, cumulative, multi-sensory activities resulting in fun and engaging lessons. 


Dyslexia assessments take place in my home in Burnham Green, just outside Welwyn Garden City. They take up to 3 hours which include regular breaks.


I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and a current Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and am a member of Patoss.
